The Mr. Pete Foundation was created to carry on the passion and dedication that Mike Peterson displayed as a teacher and coach in the International Falls School District. Grant funding from the Mr. Pete Foundation is awarded to teachers who desire to enhance their classroom experience in new, fun, and innovative ways.

Mr. Pete led the ultimate student-centric class. By using games, technology, and innovative strategies to teach, facilitate, and engage, Mr. Pete fostered a love of learning and instilled a true value of education amongst his students.

The Mr. Pete Foundation awards funds to teachers who plan to enrich their classroom with activities that stimulate learning a in fun, engaging, and forward-thinking manner. Funding will be awarded to those who demonstrate a true passion in education and a classroom responsive to innovative learning.

Grants for the Mr. Pete Foundation are distributed throughout the year. Those seeking funding for their classroom may submit an application to the Mr. Pete Foundation. This application will be available beginning October 15, 2014.

Board Members of the Mr. Pete Foundation will distribute funds based on:
